On the Rappahannock. We've used them several times both renting and just for shuttle service since I haven't located a local put in that is not on private property. We usually do the 7 mile Blankenbaker trip if we go on Saturday, or the 6 mile trip on Sunday (Mrs. Blankenbaker does not allow access on Sundays so they have an alternative put in site). Its a great trip for the entire family if the water is just right. When it is low, you do alot of rock hopping, when its higher, the one class II rapid can be a little rough (the only time I've ever been put out of the boat). Its very quiet, peaceful and serene, yet still close to civiliazation. I find the rental prices to be about average, and the shuttle prices to be a little high, but I'm assuming that is because there is no public access and the property owner is probably getting part of it for allowing us to launch. The Clores are very nice people, and full of local history and knowledge. www.clorebros.com/tripdescriptions.htm
